We can’t do it alone.

Did you know that ticket revenue and class memberships make up less than half of our entire budget? As a nonprofit organization, PYT relies on the generosity of our families, friends and network to join in supporting the future of our remarkable theatre. Your fundraising dollars will make a BIG difference.

Kickstart your fundraising.

HELP MENU

Step 1: Be your own first donor

Your friends and family will be inspired by your dedication and will want to help you reach your goal. Locate your personal fundraising page link provided to you in an email from hello@phoenixyouththeatre.com.

Step 2: Share your fundraising page

Time to get social! Post your fundraising page link on social media—Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok—and tag your followers to encourage friends and family to donate. Tell them why you are stepping up—and why they should, too! Don’t forget to tag @PhoenixYouthTheatre on your posts so we can cheer you on!

You can send a text message, too! Text messages have been proven as a really powerful way to grab the attention of friends and family. You can get creative and personalize and/or simply use some of the text listed for social media posts!

We’ve provided some sample posts below.

Fun fact: people who use social media to promote their fundraising see a significant increase in donations.

Step 3: Send Emails

Send your story to friends, family and small businesses via email. Challenge your dentist, hair stylist, family attorney, accountant and orthodontist.

Step 4: Follow up Thursday

We did a little research and discovered that people are most generous on Thursday mornings between 9:00 and 11:00. You can take advantage of this information by following up with people you haven’t heard back from yet. Remember, it’s a busy time of year, so they may not have seen your first post. Let them know you’re counting on them.

Private Message on Facebook, Tag on Instagram and follow up with those emails you’ve sent.

Step 5: Express your gratitude

A simple thank you goes a long way! Don’t forget to thank your donors personally. Consider writing a handwritten note to put in the mail.

Social sharing and emails.
